Tactic of The Week
Shot Sequence
Ball 1: Serving on the ad side, up the T
Ball 2: Return Deep Cross Court, but in the middle of the court
Ball 3: Server’s First ball deep Cross
Ball 4: Unplanned
Analysis: This is an opening tactic designed to start the point an immediately exploit your opponent’s backhand.
Notice how the server aims their serve T, to first pull the returner into the middle of the court. Then, when the returner hits their return deep middle, but kind of cross court, the server will hit a drive deep into the ad corner targeting a right handed player’s backhand.
This is a great one to practice as a go-to serve +1 play!
