What’s up, Team!?

What an incredible match! I have to say watching Djokovic in this match was simply inspiring. This was the kind of match, the kind of effort that just makes you want to give everything you have to whatever it is you’re working on and be a better person.

It reminded me so much of watching Federer in 2017-2018. We know we don’t have Djokovic on the courts forever, so it is so fun to see him playing well and reminding us why he has won more slams than anyone else.

Novak did not walk away with the title, but we will review that match another day. For now, these highlights are a blast to watch!

I hope you’ll check out my video analysis of some of the highlight points here below!

In other news, I have been working on Tennis Tactics a lot in the background lately. I think I have some cool stuff coming along and will be in touch with an update shortly on what’s coming next!

Thanks for sticking with me as I’m trying to build the #1 place for tennis strategy!

Tactic of The Week

Shot Sequence

  • Ball 1: Serving on the deuce side, up the T

  • Ball 2: Return deep line

  • Ball 3: Server’s first ball deep cross

  • Ball 4: Returner’s first ball deep cross

Analysis: This is an opening tactic designed to start the point an immediately exploit your opponent’s backhand.

This is a phenomenal play for both server and returner to practice because it prepares you for those backhand to backhand rally points. The first step is always survival can you make your opening backhands. The next step would be to play these opening backhands aggressively. If you can, your opponent will struggle to find a clear weakness against you. And if you can run this play aggressively, and your backhand is better than your opponent’s you will print money with this pattern right here.

It’s a great one to get reps on frequently in your practice sessions!
